Kali Orexi !

George and Valerie Pyle purchased Pickles Food and Fun on July 1, 2007. We are second generation Americans of Greek descent, our families hailing from Asia Minor, the Peloponese, and Crete. Our grandparents arrived in New York city nearly a century ago to pursue the American dream. Val's grandparents opened luncheonettes and homemade candy stores and George's grandparents ran a restaurant employment agency.

Our goal is to provide you with authentic Greek food and drink, worthy of our grandparents' legacy. The Greeks have a word"philoxenia", literally "love of the stranger" that transcends mere hospitality. When you enter our restaurant, we want you to feel like you've come to our home for a meal. It is with that hospitality, that we wish you "Kali Orexi".
